This year marks the fourth anniversary of TEDxYouthDay, a series of TEDx events designed to empower and inspire young people worldwide, coinciding with Universal Children’s Day in late November.
TEDxYouthDay events vary widely in size, format, and theme, but share a common mission: inspiring curiosity, igniting new ideas, and empowering leaders among today’s youth.
TED@Youth@GrassValley is the 5th TEDx event organized by TEDxGrassValley and hosted by Barry Friedman, a six-time speaker and performer at TED. TEDxYouth@GrassValley has chosen the them of “Art and Innovation”. TEDxYouth@GrassValley offers a playful space to discover our creative capacity and build on existing dialogues exploring the critical role The Arts play in cultural and economic innovation. Nevada County’s rich history of cutting edge technologies and its talented arts community provide a unique lens through which students, educators, artists, scientists and entrepreneurs can share success stories, current research, inspiring works of art and innovative models. This year’s talks include big ideas around art and architecture, nature, peace, physics, health, technology, music, and youth.
Nearly 100 TEDxYouthDay events will take place during the weekend, including events in Madrid, Montreal, Sydney, India, Estonia, and our own Grass Valley.
